Projecting an Image of Leadership

Being a leader is a difficult task especially if you are given responsibilities you have never handled before. But even before you start in your new position people around you are probably already judging your capability on the way you look and even in the way your talk. So it is important to be conscious of your actions when you are new to the position and project an image of a capable and effective leader. So how would you do this? Here are simply ways that will enable you to get the respect of your subordinates and the recognition you deserve.

The first tip is to lead the organization by becoming a good example. This means that you need to be as hard-working as your employees if not more in order to get their respect. You can also demonstrate your dedication by always being early when you go to the office in the morning and go home only after most people already left. Leadership can also be exemplified by taking risks and making effective decisions that will be for the entire organization.

Then it is also recommended that you speak as little as necessary during a meeting or a conference. This is because it is more important to listen to the issues that are being raised instead of giving your opinion all the time. There are cases when some leaders have the misconception that being smart means they have to talk as much as possible. But as you grow older, you will realize that the smartest people are usually those that speak little but whose words carry a lot of weight.

The third tip is for you to ask questions because this will enable you to know the problems and issues that confront your subordinates. This will prevent discontent in the organization and ensures that the operation will flow as smoothly as possible. Asking questions will also enable leaders to have a chance to know the root causes of some problems so that they will be able to fix these problems and avoid it in the future.

Then the last most important thing that leaders should do is to make decisions that are firm and bold. If a leader makes a decision then it is recommended that he stick to it unless when it reaches a point when the risks become too high to tolerate. Imaging a general in a war who orders his troop to attack and midway to the attack he suddenly makes a decision to retreat even before they encounter the enemy. This makes the general look weak and indecisive. So in line with this, it is important to consider all decisions thoroughly even at the start to mistakes and failures.

Leads & GDI does it work?

Hey all here for a small update...
I started a new experiment yesterday, I bought some(well its 15k) GDI relevant leads from a well known distributor for 13.50$. They are aged autoresponder leads (15-45days old) but should do well for my purpose. Since they will only be sold twice but never for the same program.

So what I do now is parse them into the GDI Invite Tool and look how much response I will get. I just send out some invites and already got 4 people responding to them. So far not a bad result for such a small investment. Lets see if they will result in some sales :D

Is Pay Per Click Advertising Worth Your Time?

One method of search engine marketing techniques widely used today is pay per click advertising and many website owners are questioning the cost of such ads and whether there return on their investment justifies the expense. Many search engines offer pay per click ads based on the sale of certain keywords, and there are also networks offer pay per click as a means of gathering more customers to their sites.

A website can contract with one of the search engines, such as Google, Yahoo! or MSN an bid on keywords. When a person using the search engine enters one of the keywords in the search box, their ad pops up on the search results page as a sponsored ad. The search company pays every time a person clicks on their ad, with costs ranging from one cent to maybe 50 cents for every click. This is in addition to the cost of the keywords bought in an auction atmosphere.

With network advertising such as Google’s Adsense and Yahoo’s publisher network when a person visits a site, ads are automatically generated to that site with information related to the site they are on. The advertiser pays a similar scale for every click of their ad and the website owner receives percentage of the income the search engine receives from pay per click advertisers.

When deciding to participate in pay per click advertising there are factors to consider such as keywords you will have to buy to be assured coming up on the first page of search results and how much those words will cost. Depending on the popularity of the keyword, they can be pricey and too expensive for many websites. However, for the bigger sites with deep pockets it can mean generating a lot of traffic.

Others see it as a way to buy their way onto the front page of search results, often considered an envious position and plan on increased sales making up for the cost of the keywords. Most companies do not limit themselves to just one word, however and the cost can quickly escalate, making the pay per click program a questionable investment.

When pay per click advertising was first used, companies could manipulate the results by creating their own multiple clicks on a specific ad. Search engine companies spotted this practice and quickly made adjustments to make the recording of multiple clicks from the same computer in a certain time frame meaningless.
Additionally, with many network pay per click programs, if the owner of the website clicks on a pay per click ad it could result in termination from the program and the loss of any income previously generated. Even if the site owner is interested in an ad, it is in their best interest to find it another way as opposed to the risk of losing the program.

The first thing you should understand about making money online is that it's never going to make you rich overnight. It can make you rich, and you can make money overnight, but the odds of you getting rich overnight are about equal to you getting sent to prison for fraud, embezzlement or the like. Knowing this right off the bat is going to put you in a better mind set than most people who try to start a business online.

While you may be desperate for cash, desperation is not going to change these facts. If you need a large amount of cash overnight, look somewhere else. But you can start earning income quickly with MLM. Look for programs that pay via PayPal so you can get quick access to your money.

You don't have to have only one source of income, or even one type of income. You may make some money from affiliate marketing, you may make some money with multi level marketing, you may make some money taking surveys or selling items on ebay. Just remember that making money online can be done in many many ways, but it all takes time and effort to really bring in the revenue.

How effective is E-Mail marketing?

In many cases batch email marketing can be waste of time any money, especially if you are sending emails to people who have not agreed to accept emails from you. In that case it could be considered spam and lead to being booted off your internet service provider. It can also create animosity with your subscribers if they receive a constant flow of emails from you that appear to be advertising only, with no benefit to them.

Email marketing can be an integral part of your marketing plan and if done right can bring in tons of business. If done wrong it will bring in tons of complaints. Consider when signing up for information online that you are agreeing to accept emails from that company as well as third party companies. One day you open your mailbox and have hundreds of email for items or websites that you have no interest in visiting. You will have to go through each one to stop receiving mail from them and even placing their address in a spam file does not mean none will get through.

Use email marketing as a target advertising technique, sending email filled with information the subscribers to your email list will be interested in receiving. Even if they do not read each and every piece you send them, your name will be on their mind and if it is of interest to them, your name will not be put in the trashcan list.

If you have different segments to your business, consider a separate email list for each segment. If you offer products and service, there needs to different emails for each one and sending all information to everyone will only serve to aggravate people who get information in which they have no interest in receiving.

Most people scan the subject before opening an email and if they do open it, the first20 to 30 words must be enough to draw them into the rest of the email. If not, they will hit the delete key. The subject has to have an interesting and promising title, and must also pertain to the email. If they get a piece with the subject stating they have won a million dollars and the email tells them about a new mouse trap, they will get upset with you. Keep it honest.

Email marketing will only work if the subject line relates to the message and the information being sent is of interest to the recipient. Sending the same email every week will not garner any support from your list members, but will only make it appear that you have nothing new to discuss and should not be wasting their time. Keep the message simple, keep it honest and leave it the discretion of the recipients to remain on your list. Asking them for a reason they want our of their list if they choose that option is OK, but do not continue to press for a reason once they tell you to go away and take your emails with you.

PROFITmatic - is it worth it?

I read so much about profitmatic and stumbled so often over it that I finally had to give it a try.
Profitmatic offers Tools and Helpers for online marketer and is of course a stand-alone MLM program with a good income opportunity. The test-membership is just 99Cent and you can try all the features for 7 days after that period the membership fee is 49$ per month.

So I signed up for the test-membership, logged in, and browsed around the member area. you find there all the Statistics, FAQs, Marketing Zone of course the Profitmatic Tools.

Tools Zone,

that is what I am looking for so I jumped directly into it. Banner Builder was the first thing that catched my eyes. The tool let you create your own animated or static banners in a matter of seconds. Pick a template of the huge selection, add the desired information's and click on create. I tried it and played around with it for a minute, you can see the result below.

Next tool to play with, the Button builder, same concept, same result, I created a cool looking button in no time.

Those two Tools are already nice and work as desired. But it shall cost 49$ a month lets see what the other tools can.

Next thing I found is full customizable Autoresponder. I created my own Leadcapture form - of course its as easy and intuitive as the Button and Banner tool - then I moved on to the E-Mail Setup and created fully customized HTML email. Like any other autoresponder I could set when the E-Mail shall be send to the subscriber. That's a big WOW, didn't expect to find here a fully working autresponder.

The last things in the Tool list is a Sitebuilder. Its made to create your own Leadcapture pages to use with Trafficexchanges etc, or a Page to promote your programs. They have a good selection of Templates that fit the MLM requirements. You can fully customize your page, the menu and even add a unblockable pop up. I played around with it and I liked it. I didn't finish the page so sorry guys I cant post an example for you.

That's it for the Tools Zone, I liked what I saw and have to say that it is a complete toolkit. Banners, Leadcapture, Autoresponder, Website. Its not unique but a nice collection and well worth the money.

Time to go to the Marketing Zone. Here I found a well done collection of marketing resources. Ranging from information's on general marketing strategies, List building tools, Free PPC resources, Traffic Generators to Viral Marketing tools. The owners have defiantly put some time into it. Since I am a Senior marketer I knew about most of them but some were completly new to me.

On to the Earning possibilitys

That's for sure the most interesting part for you. You earn a minimum of 7.50$ per personal sponsored member every month they stay active. If you sponsored 3 members it goes up to 9.00$ per month and member. Also there are lots of other ways to increase your income Second Level Bonus where you get paid if your direct referrals sponsor someone, roll up bonuses and Leader Bonuses. All Payouts are made using the Virtual Money Debit Card. So you can cash out your earnings at every ATM.

Back to the Questions - Is it Worth it?

Its a great collection of tools nothing unique but very well put together and easy to use. I really love the Autoresponder feature and the bannerbuilder. The Website builder is ok, but nothing i will use since I like more custom build sites. The Compensation plan is also very nice and you can earn some easy money with it. Yes it is defiantly worth the 49$ fee. I decided for my self to stay active in this program.

Long time no new posting...

I didnt have time for posting or updating my blog for quiet some time. Well guys now I am back.

First I want to update you that even with me being absent my marketing efforts brought a nice growth. I archived the rank of a Counselor at Success University what means that I now get some $$$ for every new member in my entire organisation wheter I sponserd him or not. Also I cycled some times for the weekly binary and monthly binary.. My 3in7 GDI team didnt make the same autopilot results but well 2 new 1st level and some 2nd level signups are also sweet. Free hosting is free hosting. So no way for me to complain. Last but not least my team at Pay it forward for profits had a huge growth even since I didnt put much efforts into the advertsiment.
All in all I got much more then I expected since I didnt invest any work at all into my marketing for 2months.

Second since I got some time now, I gonna write some new articles for you guys. I will focus on beginner topics aimed at people that just start there MLM business. So stay tuned :)

for longer time I didnt make any personal posts so i think its time for one :)
At the moment I have vacations and can concentrate 100% on my marketing efforts. As I said, I spent a lot time with gathering some new ideas for my marketing campaigns. I found a lot of great ideas but they all cost a fortune and are not the kind of things I was looking for. I will stick to my "low budget" Social Marketing using Forums, Articles and my Blog.
Since Im not a giftet designer but want my personal one of a kind advertising tools I finaly decided to pick up some money and hire a professional designer to create a header for my blog and some custom banners for my campaigns. So watch out for my new blog designe comming soon.

Why should you advertise in forums?

What ever you tend to sell online, don’t miss the massive marketing capabilities of forums. You can find large communities and forums regarding nearly any topic you could imagine. Just do a quick Google search for “(any topic that interests you) Forum” You will find at least 5-10. But why are they important for our online marketing? They are free to use, deliver laser targeted visitors, give you high quality backlinks and build your reputation. You can’t get better results for time invested then with just hanging around in forums and post about stuff you would do anyway.

Benefits from actively posting in forums

When you join a forum you have the option to setup a signature, this signature is placed at the end of every post you make. Put your name and the link to your business in it. This is a setup once and works for life thing. Take the 2-3minutes it takes to create your signature at any forum you join. You are now advertising with every post you make. You can talk about Football or Cooking and still be advertising for your business.
Start a new thread regarding your business (If not already one is running). Tell the people what you are doing; what is great about your product etc. Probably you find some interested people that will ask you questions or are working with a similar product. It will probably take days till you get response, just stay with the topic and post daily something new. This will keep your thread on top of the forum and will attract more people to click on it. Also new forum members and guests tend to read the top positions and high traffic topics very often. So, keep your thread interesting and on top of the forum. This assures you publicity for free.
Then more useful topics you post then higher your reputation will grow. Reputation is exactly what you need. You want that anyone knows your name as an Authority in your field. Share your knowledge, offer help and support and SHOW everyone that you read, understand and think about what was written. Don’t make spam posts or answer questions with 2-3 word posts. Make detailed posts, 1 long and useful post is worth more then 10 little “I think you are right” quickies. If you know nothing about the topic DON’T POST THERE!
Forums are Search Engine Spider magnets. Popular forums get spidered from google, yahoo, etc often 10+ times a day since they offer fresh in demand content. We all know that search engine traffic is important and from forums we get countless backlinks that will help us getting a higher ranking. Every post you make has your Signature containing YOUR link at the end. The spiders will pick up that link, follow it and index your page. Don’t ever waste time and money again on “Search Engine Submission”. Post your new page in 10+ forums and wait for the SEs to index it automatically.

Suma sum arum, you can cover nearly every important field in your marketing campaign with forums. You build your name as a brand, build personal customer relationships, get countless of quality backlinks to your page, get listed in the important Searchengines and all of that for free.

Solution oriented online multi level marketing for beginners. Part 1

What is this guide? It isn’t a marketing concept, it isn’t a multimillion dollar sale letter, its just something to think about when you create your next website or write an E-Mail to a prospect.

For my marketing I use the “solution oriented approach” developed by Insoo Kim Berg and Steven de Shazer. This theory was build for family therapy but you can use it for marketing without changing a thing. Basically the solution oriented model is a way to get someone from saying NO, I don’t want this to say YES, this is the solution I was looking for without forcing something on them. The theory sounds quiet simple but isn’t easy to utilize.

To use this technique we have to give up the “I am the expert, do what I say” mentality and start focusing on the goals of our customer. It’s all about how we can help him and not how he can help us(If we help him, he will automatically help us)! The most important thing we have to know is: Our new customer is the expert! Only he knows what resources he got, what his desires are and what he needs to fulfill them. We just give him a push in the right direction. Never tell a customer that his ideas won’t work or are stupid. If it won’t work he will realize that fast enough and get back to you. Our job is to listen carefully and ask questions. We can help our customer on his way to build a solution but it has to be HIS solution and not ours. What works for me will most likely not work for him!

That’s enough of boring theory, lets get practical J

So how do we use this small theory excurse in our daily business? The desire most people in MLM have is clear, cold hard cash! I call it the solution to there problem. Now ask yourself what have you to offer? A shiny splashpage, an endless number of great promises and probably a “make money in a nutshell” guide full of pseudo marketing know how and what products he has to buy from you next, ready to send from an autoresponder. Now you solved one problem of your customer, find an opportunity to make money online, but created 1000 new ones he is left alone with.
Offer your downline full personal support from the second they join. Offer your help directly, since most people have a problem with accepting help(wrong pride syndrome I call that) tell them immediately that you are there and that you are a real person. Ask the W questions:
Why did you join this program?
What are your goals?
What kind of support would help you?
Where do you plan to advertise? Just to name a few…
You will be surprised what kind of very detailed information’s you will get from that and how much confidence this will build.

I’m sure you know those forum posts, “Hi, I’m new to online marketing. I joined company xy how can I get more traffic to my site?” followed by 20 replys: “join a traffic exchange”, “buy tool yz”, “join my company that’s better than yours”. Did any of these advices solve the problem of our poor newbie? No, because nobody ever asked him simple but important questions. What are you doing at the moment? Where do you advertise? How do you advertise? What are you willing to spend on advertisement? Etc… You can’t solve a problem you don’t know so ask till you know exactly what he wants. Then you can come up with some solutions. If he likes them he will contact you and say: This is what I want, where can I get it?

This is so easy but so impressive for the one that is looking for help. Listen, analyze, ask questions and come up with some basic ideas so that your customer can build HIS perfect solution.

Marketing power of self build websites - 1

This is part one of a longer series of articles regarding this topic.

If you are a member of typical Online Multilevel Marketing programs like GDI, Success University, Pro Wealth Solutions etc you probably know the problem. You get enormous numbers of hits but wont close a single sell. I want to help you working your way towards a higher conversion rate.

If you got this problem you are probably promoting your “automatic build landing page” this won’t work. Since everyone who is in the same program has got exactly the same page. You are just one of a million. You defiantly need you own self made website. Even an ugly private website is better then no private website

A private website is so important for your marketing since you are in full control of the content. Your website says what you want. You can publish your self written articles, testimonials or just write something about your success with you main business. A private website is also your first step to build a reputation. I showed you in my earlier articles that building your name is a very important thing for working towards your success. As soon as you have your own website you begin to become an authority in your field.

The best of all above is: it’s nearly free. Hosting and a domain name probably cost you 5-10$ per month, that’s by far less then many other marketing instrument would cost you daily.

Online Ninja Marketing

Ninja Marketing is the art of advertising thru sources where nobody expect advertising or to hijack somebody else marketing for your product. This tactic is common used in offline marketing, but you can easily adopt it for your online marketing.

First I want to show you some simple ideas of offline ninja marketing before I show you how to use similar concepts online. Do you use public transportations to go to work in the morning? If you answer with yes you have probably noticed all those thrown away newspapers that get picked up by someone. You can easy put a flyer into them and get your message spread. You know those little yellow Post-It stickers? Write your advertisement on it and place them on some car doors. They look like very personal notes and guarantee attention. Or you cant write a “readers letter” to your local newspaper and hope that they print it. If they print it you got much more exposure then you could imagine.

All methods have one thing in common. They are effective and very cheap. We want to adopt those ideas for our online marketing. It has to be cheap and effective. Let’s go true the typical online advertisements. Traffic Exchanges, cheap but not effective. AdWords/PPC, effective but not cheap. Bought Leads, expensive and ineffective if you don’t call them. Now we are already done with the typical marketing advices. They aren’t what we are looking for.

Let’s start with our ninja online marketing.

Articles and free information’s
Articles are a great way to get your message spread. Indeed you are at the moment reading an advertisement. You can spread your name, your link and your message to thousands of prospects while building your name and reputation. You even get high quality backlinks from high PR pages just for submitting your article to them. If you think you cant write an article I couldn’t disagree more. Just write about your business or your marketing campaign.

Forums and Communities
Use the power of free speech. What for VIPs is “Do something good and talk about it” is for the Online Marketer “Talk about how well you are doing”. In forums we find laser targeted prospects. When they are active in a forum dedicated to make money online they are defiantly interested in a great opportunity. Even if you make a monolog, just keep posting. A steady presence will build your reputation and bring you results. Simply post your link and ask: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT? You will defiantly get some answers. Build a friendly and open minded picture of your self. Being a clean a sterile marketer focused on closing a sell won’t help you here.

Blogs
Install your own blog. It will help you to stay in touch with your customers and give you a much higher reputation. You can post your articles there, talk about your great results, offer free services like free PPC credits and earn some money from adsense. Give out some personal information’s about you like what you like, where you are from whats your dogs name etc.

Leadcapture pages aka 2 in 1 sites

Offer your prospects something for free in return they have to give you there email address. Of course we have a autoresponder set up to tell them about our main product. A good idea Is a free E-Book, marketing report, insider information’s or a free Ad on your page. Just something that makes your visitor interested. You don’t need a “All capital bold red letters million dollar sales page”. Keep it simple!

Guestbook’s
You find them everywhere on the net. Leave a personal message and a link to your blog or leadcapture page. Nothing special just something like “Hi, xy from abc here, you got a great website. I would really appreciate it if you would visit my page and tell me what you think about it.” That’s it.

Now that you got some ideas how to market on low budget there are for sure millions of other ways. Use them, accept failure but stay focused! You are playing a game and don’t wan to lose!

You have just started your new online business but how do you promote it? In fact 90% of new online marketers will fail and stop there business within the first 14days. Not because they got a bad product or a zero dollar marketing budget, no, they just don’t obey the 2 most important rules.

Where and how to loose a lot of money without results

Advertising your product or opportunity can be that easy, register with 2-3 large traffic exchanges, buy 1000-3000 hits from each, get a Google AdWords account and spend 300-500$ per week on keywords… STOP! You don’t want to do THAT!

We don’t want to advertise at the moment. We want first to determine our target group, find our sale pitch and set our own realistic goals Answer for yourself this 3 questions:

Who’s your customer?
Its important to know your product exactly and who you want to sell it too. Its absolutely necessary that you line out what kind of customer you want. Most of the facts we use to determine our target group are pure statistics. That’s not fun or exciting but so important that I can’t stress it enough!
Eg. I sell web hosting, so my target audience is the typical Joe with internet access who has a credit card and can read & write English.
Those 3 facts lowered already the numbers of my target countries down to a nice little list. USA, CAN, MEX, ARG, JP, AUS, NZ, UAE, EU, UK. They all fulfill my 3 search criteria’s, large number of Internet users, high rate of Credit Card owner, and a very high chance that they can speak English.

Why should they buy your product?
Does your product have a sale pitch? It defiantly has;. Familiarize with it!
Tell me now with one simple sentence:
WHY do I need your product?
To stay with my webhosting example my answer would be: “I have my own private E-mail address for life and a place to host all my pictures.” Easy isn’t it? J

What are your goals?
Marketing is a game and you have to always keep that in mind. You should set yourself 3 different goals, Minimum, OK and Maximum all in achievable range. Setting your own goals is very important to keep track of your business. You won’t help yourself and your confidence when you set goals that are way over the top or way to low.
For my example I set the goals to: Minimum: 3 new customers OK: 7 new customers, and Maximum 20 new customers per month. Explanation: With 3-6 new customers I got some growth but that’s the minimum I expect. I’m not happy with it and have defiantly to change my marketing strategies. With 7-19 new customers I met my expectations for the time and money invested. 20+ is the mark I can only hit with a lot of fortune or the perfect marketing. Since I don’t believe in the perfect marketing its pure luck J

Answered all the questions? Great, you already build your first marketing concept. We determined our targeted customers, found our sale pitch and set our goals! Now we start the more practical part.

Where to advertise!

We want to focus on our determined target group so we need laser targeted advertising. The net offers countless possibilities. I want to give you some ideas where to start. Google Adwords/PPC advertisement

AdWords can make or break you. It’s a science of its own. I’m not an AdWords expert but you can find more then enough free know-how on the web. My advice is: Don’t leave it behind, use this great tool but make sure that you know what you are doing before you take any actions! A bad campaign can easily cost you hundreds of dollars with out results. There are a lot of other PPC advertisers beside Google some even offer you free credits to start just pay attention when you are surfing.

Buying leads

They are a great way to advertise but only if you can and will call them. They are way to expensive to just to send an E-Mail that will never be read. You can buy leads from different sources and in different qualitys. Its up to you and your marketing budget.

Forums/Communities

This is your best free source of laser targeted prospects. Find some good forums and talk about your product and what you are doing. Nothing is easier and brings more results. There are even special communities build like MySpace but for small and home based business where you can share experiences and ideas with thousands of like minded people. Use those great free tools!

Traffic Exchanges

They are not so targeted but well worth your time. You want to join large and well established manual traffic exchanges. Don’t join anything you see, 3-5 good exchanges are more then enough. Traffic Exchanges are there to play with use them and test new landing pages, sale letters etc. Surf every TE you join for at least 30mins per day and consider an upgrade at those 2 exchanges where you get the best results from.

How to advertise

On the net you usually got 2-5 seconds to get someone’s attention. That’s a very short period of time but you have to deal with it. Do you remember the sentence that would make me buy your product? Now you will need it. Build out of that small sentence at least 5 totally different ads not longer then 150 characters. These are perfect ads for PPC campaigns and E-Mail openers.

Keep your advertising down to earth. Nobody likes superlatives or false advertisements. Even if your product is the best of the world, you won’t attract customers by saying this. More likely there inner alarm bell will ring and say “scam incoming”. You are selling a real product or opportunity and not a dream!

Marketing is not a sprint it’s a never ending Marathon!

When you came this far you are well on your way but never forget the most important thing: What ever you do, don’t blow your whole advertisement budget out in one month. You have to build a steady presence. Some people will see your ad ten, twenty even hundred times before they click on it and they need to click again twenty times on it before they decide to buy. Don’t give up if you don’t see results after 10 or even 30 days. They will come as you keep rolling.

Rome wasn’t built in one day. The same counts for your marketing success.
